Rain Barrels 101
On a particularly wet day it seemed appropriate to consider how rain can be channeled to do something other than ruin the bottoms of your pants. There has been a good amount of discussion around rain barrels and how collected water can be used for watering lawns and gardens as well as non-drinking household use. Ronnie Citron-Frank on Care2 wrote about DIY rain chains which can be a more attractive option than a traditional downspout.
