How are we green?
We try to do the little things that can make a big difference. During the summer we like to ride our bike or scooter to work, when it gets colder outside we drive hybrid vehicles (we are working on getting vehicles that run on alternative fuel). On the way we were able to charge our cell phone with our messenger bag with a built in solar panel. If we were riding our bike, we are probably a little thirsty but don't worry it was out of a refillable Nalgene bottle. We make to your home to chat about your upcoming project. We have a great time you fall in love with us and we give you a proposal printed with recycled cartridges on paper with post consumer product. We come to an agreement and we schedule your project of painting a few bedrooms.
We arrive on the job site bright and early. We are different than most contractors we like to show up on time. You notice something different about our employees, but you cant put your finger one it. You realize that all of them are really happy and super friendly. They actually like working for a "green" company, no longer are they breathing in those toxic fumes. We also pay a living wage, so that our employees can earn a decent living. Then you look at their shirts and notice they have some sort of label on the sleeve. The label says that these shirts are made from fair trade organic cotton and printed on with soy based inks. Then we start going to work, our team is very detail oriented with our goal of complete customer satisfaction. In fact our employees compensation is based on how satisfied you are.
Most of our tools and materials come from local manufactures. Our team starts painting your house with our brushes made from recycled tires and then you realize that there is no smell from the paint. We use No or low VOC paints, more info here. We leave the jobsite almost cleaner than when we first arrived, the paint looks good and you are delighted. When we finish up the project we give the jobsite a thorough cleaning and the cleaners we used didn't give you a headache? We used natural cleaning products to clean our brushes and jobsite. You tell all your friends and they tell their friends and that is how something good starts to grow.
