EnergyStar Construction

GreenWerks is a proud builder of ENERGY STAR labeled homes. ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. ENERGY STAR qualified homes and practices help you save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. EPA and U.S. DOE.
To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes and contribute to improved home quality and homeowner comfort, and to lower energy demand.
While any of GreenWerks services can help you acheive greater degrees of comfort and energy savings, the ENERGY STAR label is a permanent, recognized certification of energy efficiency. GreenWerks works with homeowners to provide third-party verification, diagnostic testing and infrared thermographic imaging, completion of the Thermal Bypass Checklist, and submittal for the home’s ENERGY STAR label. This service is only applicable to new construction and gut rehabs.
GreenWerks is a proud partner of ENERGY STAR. You can find out more at Energy Star or call (312) 884-9984 to speak with one of our project mangers. Ready to start? Contact GreenWerks today!
