I have a great story and project that is made for your show. Soldiers Grove, Wi is my hometown where I was born and raised. Please see the http://www.soldiersgrove.com web site for a brief history of the first solar village in the nation. I have recently returned to Soldiers Grove from several years traveling in the film, television and entertainment industry. Soldiers Grove is suffering and economically depressed beyond belief. In the heart of the “Driftless Area”, Soldiers Grove sits in one of the most beautiful areas in the country. The area used to thrive on the family dairy farm. That has changed dramatically over the years. What Soldiers Grove and the entire Kickapoo valley has left is its incredible natural resources. I have recently decided to dedicate myself to my hometown and to pick up the torch that my father carried for our town as the relocation director when the town relocated after the devastating flood of 1978. He saw the value of the sun, now I see the importance of going green. I want to start with the renovation of a 100 year old tobacco warehouse and turn it into a community center and a place for art, music, education and entertainment that can be a catalyst for tourism for our humble village and our economic dilema. Tourism needs to be nurtured and developed. Please help me save Soldiers Grove. Sincerely, Randy R.Swiggum.

I would have to agree the there is a lot of potential for this town and the area. The people have been super to work it!
Our BMW motorcycle club has worked with the village of Soldiers Grove over the past 3 years to host our Great River Road Run (GR3) Rally.
I’ve also seen some of Randy’s work. Very nice and his community center to be is just down the block from the park we rent out. We’d love to include it as part of our schedule.
